2007 IUS Conference Preliminary Program

SPECIAL NOTES FOR PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS

PANEL STRUCTURE

Each panel will be 90 minutes long. The presenter summarizes the papers, and offers a synthesis and critique for 25-30 minutes. The paper authors then have 5-10 minutes each to respond and clarify their thoughts. Presenters are asked to point out common themes and issues (or differences), and raise critical points and questions to stimulate discussion. The remainder of the session is devoted to discussion, and questions and answers.

TO VOLUNTEER CHAIRS AND DISCUSSANTS/PRESENTERS

Thanks to those who responded to the request for volunteers to chair or present at a panel. The Committee did its best to slot you into a panel that reflects your interests. Please check the Preliminary Program for the date and time of your panel.

TO PANEL PRESENTERS

Please note your vital role as outlined under "Panel Structure." You should receive each paper in your panel from the authors by 10 September.

TO PAPER AUTHORS

Please transmit your paper to the panel presenter via e-mail or regular post by 10 September. Please also transmit an electronic copy of your paper to the IUS Secretariat by 1 October to ensure that it is included on the Conference Papers CD for all participants.
